Clean, bold, and with just the right amount of bite.
There’s something about a spicy margarita that just feels like the moment. It’s the cocktail I come back to again and again — simple, sharp, and unapologetically confident. I make mine clean (no sugary mix) with a hit of heat and a salted rim that makes every sip feel like a little event.
Here’s how I do it.
Ingredients (Serves 1)
2 oz silver tequila (I go clean and smooth — think Casa Dragones or 21 Seeds)
1 oz fresh lime juice (no bottled shortcuts)
¾ oz Cointreau or high-quality orange liqueur
½ oz agave syrup (adjust to taste)
2–3 slices fresh jalapeño (with seeds if you like it fiery)
Optional: 1 slice of cucumber for balance
Ice
Lime wedge + Jennifer Fisher Spicy Salt (or Tajín) for the rim
